I can't believe it's been so long since I was here. Time really does fly, doesn't it? I've been working on getting my hand back up and running ( if a hand can run that is) and so far, things are going well. I've been able to do little bits of machine sewing so I'm sure it won't be long till I'm in full flow again. We've had an exciting time here just lately. Our eldest boy married the love of his life at the beginning of June. It was a lovely day. Everything was perfect: the weather, the venue, the registrar, the entertainment and most importantly, the couple. The bride was beautiful and radiant and the groom was the most handsome groom ever in the history of grooms! No, I'm not biased, he truly was :-) Anyway, now you know why I've not been sewing for a while, I thought it was high time I picked up the reigns again. I've found a lovely pattern for a child's quilt. It'll be a bit bigger than the baby quilts I usually make. I'm going to use a jelly roll. It's well known that the most difficult part of using a jelly roll is actually unpacking it. They look so lovely all rolled up like that. Well, here it is, still packed up. I'll have a cup of tea now and let you know when I've managed to unpack it....
