It's been a while, hasn't it? After I had the plaster taken off my hand, I thought I'd be getting straight back into sewing. Wrong! You can probably tell I've never had plaster on anything before. Anyway, I'm still doing the physio and my hand is slowly getting stronger but I couldn't wait any longer. I thought I'd have a go at sewing something. So, here is my latest baby quilt. I'm enjoying it and it's so good to get back to my sewing room.

Well, it's finally here. Tomorrow I'll be having my plaster removed and I'll get my hand back. It feels like forever since I had it put on. I'm really looking forward to having two hands again. I had all sorts of plans for tidying my sewing room out while I couldn't sew, but guess what? Nothing happened. I did make a start, a few times, but I never finished anything. So, I think it looks worse now than it did three weeks ago. Ah well, never mind. I'll be able to sew again!! That's what matters most. Paul has looked after me really well while I've been one handed. I've been thoroughly spoiled and I've made some discoveries:
1. There is more than one way to iron a shirt, 2. Not rushing seems to make things happen quicker, 3. You don't have to bribe the dog to eat his dinner, 4. Paul's yorkshire puddings are of a standard that I can only dream of. Lots more too, but quite frankly I'm still blown away by the yorkshire puddings. Thank you for being a fantastic nurse Paul. I know I'm not always the best of patients. So, here's a final picture of my plastered hand. Normal service will be resumed tomorrow and, hopefully, I'll be showing you pictures of baby quilts and presents instead of bandages |
