Well, this stage is usually quite straightforward. But then I'm usually making a baby quilt, round about a metre long. This one though, is a fair bit bigger, so it's involved moving the furniture about and crawling around all over the place. But, despite very red knees, I've sandwiched it together and now I can start quilting it. Happy days...

I've had a lovely time, playing with all may new material and this is what it's turned into. I had to have a bit of a furniture rearrange to take a photo of it. It's big! I think it's turned out nicely. Quilting now...
I've been to my favourite shop this morning - the quilt shop! I had a lovely time there, looking at the all the new material that was on offer. After spending ages putting different colours and patterns together, I bought all of this, for my first project of the new year. Guess what I'll be doing for a while...
Happy new year to you all! I hope 2017 brings everything you want it to. I'm starting to slowly getback into the swing of things here. We had a lovely Christmas. We had lots of family staying, which is always good and both our boys and their ladies came round on Christmas day. It was a lovely big squash round the table for dinner. Perfect! I wasn't completely still on the sewing front: I made a wall hanging. I love making stained glass quilts. It's a bit like putting a big jigsaw together and they look nice when they're finished too. So far this year, I don't have anything in the pipeline, maybe a double bed sized quilt for a little girl, but I've still got to get the go ahead on that yet. I'm poised, ready...
